Local guide
County permits, and a fire map that is not the town name
Start with County Building Services. Add the fire question for the specific address.
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.
The permit counter
The County of San Diego Building Services Division permits unincorporated communities, including Ramona. The county publishes a residential reroof referral sheet that asks for the product listing and related energy details.
Class A when the interface rules apply
The county wildland urban interface sheet says roofs shall have a minimum Class A covering where those ignition resistant rules apply, and profile gaps are fire stopped. A Ramona address is a reason to check the map, not a reason to skip it.
Check the roofer's license yourself. This guide does not say anyone is insured.

Describe the roof
Say the material you have now and whether the house is in Country Estates or town.
